By enrolling as an Eastel Member, you acknowledge and agree to comply with this Code of Conduct.

Responsible Usage of Eastel Products and Services

What Members Are Required to Do

All Eastel members must use Eastel SIM cards, platforms, and services solely for lawful and authorised purposes. Members are required to provide genuine and accurate customer information in accordance with MCMC registration guidelines, avoid any fraudulent, misleading, or illegal activity, and conduct business practices that do not jeopardise Eastel's systems, operations, or reputation. Members must also refrain from unauthorised reselling, distribution, or transfer of Eastel SIM cards or services, and avoid spreading misinformation, unverified claims, or unauthorised content.

Eastel Sales & Pricing Restrictions for Offline and Online Channels

Standard Retail Price Compliance

All Eastel SIM cards must be sold strictly at the official Standard Retail Price (SRP) as determined by Eastel, which is RM10 per SIM card. Underpricing, overpricing, price manipulation, or bundling at unapproved rates without prior approval from Eastel HQ is strictly prohibited.

Accurate Plan Representation

Members are prohibited from altering, exaggerating, or misrepresenting any Eastel plan pricing or features, including the EZ35 plan or any other current or future plans. Members must not promote unofficial prices, hidden charges, or alternative fee structures that differ from Eastel's official communication.

Misleading Information & Consumer Protection Compliance

Members must not publish or communicate misleading, false, or unverified information that may confuse consumers or trigger action from regulatory bodies such as KPDN or other Malaysian authorities. All promotional claims must strictly follow Eastel's approved materials, scripts, and pricing guidelines.

E-Commerce & Online Marketplace Requirements

Members operating on platforms such as Shopee, Lazada, TikTok Shop, or similar platforms must use only Eastel-approved product descriptions and images, avoid posting unauthorised promotions or price reductions, not claim exclusivity or preferential rates, and ensure all customer-facing communications reflect the correct and official Eastel information.

Liability for Misconduct

Any violation including misleading pricing, misrepresentation, or unauthorised promotions will result in full liability being transferred to the reseller or dealer. Consequences may include penalties or enforcement from regulatory authorities, customer complaints, damage to brand reputation, and disciplinary action by Eastel as outlined in the Disciplinary Actions section.

Data Privacy & Confidentiality Obligations for Eastel Members

Handling Customer Data Responsibly

All Eastel members must safeguard personal data in accordance with the Personal Data Protection Act 2010 (PDPA), comply fully with PDPA requirements, and ensure confidential and secure handling of all customer information and internal Eastel materials. Misuse or unauthorised disclosure of personal data is strictly prohibited.

Compliance, Ethical Conduct & Social Media Guidelines

Compliance & Ethical Conduct

Members must follow all Eastel policies, respond truthfully to compliance checks, and proactively report any unethical or suspicious behaviour observed within the network. Failure to comply with Eastel's ethical standards may result in disciplinary action.

Social Media & Public Communications

All Eastel members must uphold a positive and professional image of Eastel across all social media platforms and public communications. Members must avoid posting offensive, misleading, or defamatory content about Eastel, partners, or competitors. Members must not issue public statements on behalf of Eastel unless formally authorised to do so.

Brand & Intellectual Property Usage Restrictions

Approved Use of Eastel Branding Materials

Members may not use, reproduce, or distribute any logos, trademarks, images, or marketing materials belonging to U Mobile or any partner network without prior written approval from Eastel. Only Eastel-approved branding materials may be used for marketing or promotional activities. Members must not claim partnership, endorsement, or official representation of U Mobile or any partner unless explicitly authorised by Eastel in writing.

Disciplinary Actions for Violating the Eastel Code of Conduct

Consequences of Non-Compliance

Violations of this Code of Conduct may result in one or more of the following disciplinary actions: formal warnings, suspension of account or sales privileges, termination of membership, forfeiture of member benefits and entitlements, blacklisting from current or future Eastel programmes, and reporting to authorities if regulatory violations occur under applicable Malaysian laws.
